Exercise should be a part of your every day life for sure. Do you disagree? I know that everyone has always heard that you need to exercise and stay in shape to keep yourself healthy.

Do you know the benefits of strength training? Have you ever thought about investing in a home GYM workout station of your own? Maybe you already do strength training at a GYM, are it could be that you are already setup with one in your home and if so that is great.

Many people do not care too much for joining a GYM and constantly going to it for a workout and paying the monthly membership fee. Then there are those who do not like to work out around crowds and prefer doing their own workout from home.

Working out is very important for your physical well being and overall health. Did you know that according to Mayo Clinic Staff “Strength training is a key component of overall health and fitness for everyone”.

Facts; strength training will help strengthen your bones, help you lose weight, build muscle, burn calories, and provide an overall quality of life by providing more ability to enjoy everyday activities.

Don’t let another day go by without taking action to get yourself in shape, or to keep yourself in good physical shape. You can stay at home and do nothing, or you can get up and exercise and keep your body healthy and active.

Home GYM

Now is the time to get yourself setup with your own work out station in your home. This will allow you to work out at your convenience on your own time and stay in shape.

There are many types of exercise equipment that would work perfect for your home. It may be that you are limited on space, or you may have a complete room that you could setup as your own GYM. Regardless of your situation there are a lot of different types of workout equipment available that will work for your situation.

Conclusion

Remember that you are the boss of yourself and it is up to you to make the decision on keeping yourself fit. You can sit on the couch, watch TV, read a book, which is good to relax at times, and for sure reading is good for your mental well being.

Now it’s time to take charge and get up and start living a healthier life style. Everyone needs to stay physically fit by eating a healthy diet and establish a regular workout program for sure.

You have one body and one life, live it well by maintaining a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise and rest!

Paddle Boat Sporting – Raccoons – Copperhead Snake!

The Paddle Boat, Raccoons, And The Copperhead

Have you ever gone to a lake camping for a few days where the lake has many activities to enjoy? Now here you are at the lake gear in tact and ready for that paddle boat sproting activity. Paddle boating sport is a great way to get in some outstanding leg workouts especially if you are in a race against someone else, awesome
activity and great fun.

Think about just getting out on a lake in a paddle boat paddling around and enjoying the experience and having a great time, sure is fun. Now think about this for a moment, you are paddling around on the lake having a good time and at the rear a snake decides it would like to join you, “OH NO” that can’t be good.

Great Time On Vacation

I am going to share a time when my family and I took a week vacation at a state park. We gathered all the fishing, and camping gear, along with food and drinks to keep us for the week.

We loaded the Van getting it ready to head out the next morning on that great vacation adventure, boy was we going to have a great vacation. Leaving out early would put us at the lake early that morning and we could get everything setup which would take about an hour to get there and a few hours getting setup.

It was going to be a great vacation where we could do a lot of fishing, bicycle riding, walking, swimming, and enjoying the camp ground for the entire week, nothing but fun ahead.

This is a relaxing time away from home where you can (for a short time) forget all your daily activities around the house and worrying about this or that. This is the time to kick back and have a great vacation.

The Raccoons

Here we are at the lake and we setup the tent and all the camping gear which was a little work but was fun. Then we take the kids to the swimming area and we all get in the lake and swim a while having a great time. We went swimming every day, good exercise and very enjoyable. Then we took rides around the park on the bicycles along with taking walks together to get more exercise and having a blast while doing so.

Now the first night we cooked our food and enjoyed our meals and done a little fishing before time to turn in. Well that time came and we went to bed and at some point during the night we were awakened with loud noises which turned out to be “Raccoon” robbers in the camp ground taking our food.

We ended up having to put all the food back in the Van to keep the Raccoons from getting it all. Back to bed we went and still had to deal with those Raccoons around to tent. That was not very enjoyable and was a repeat every night but we made it though that part.

I am not exactly sure what day of being there it was when our air mattress got a hole in it and went flat and was too large to patch. This of course made this adventure to start turning into a very unpleasant trip. Not only did we deal with the Raccoons every night then we actually did sleep on the hard ground, not comfortable but we survived.

The Paddle Boat And the Copperhead

Now while we were at the camp ground on the lake we rented a four person paddle boat to get on the lake and enjoy. We picked the boat we wanted and my 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son decided they would like to paddle which was fine with me and my wife.

We all get loaded up and get started off having a lot of fun and we got a good distance away from shore on the lake. The kids would paddle for a little while then stop, and paddle some more and stop. Well that was all fine and good as we were enjoying the day and not in a hurry.

Now, to our “SUPRISE” we looked back behind the boat and there was a nice size copperhead trying to climb into the boat with us. Naturally my wife and I both started hollowing at the kids to start paddling as fast as they can. They would paddle a little while and stop again and the whole time the snake was hot on our trail. When they would stop paddling the snake would gain ground on us still trying to crawl over the rear. Long story short we finally got away from the snake which was very scary at the time but funny later.

Conclusion

Always remember that a planed Vacation can sometime turn out to have its moments and you can never plan enough for what might arise while you are on your vacation.

We spent the week with one adventure after another with many unexpected things such as the Raccoons, the copperhead snake, and yes, even the hole in the air mattress. I think this was the worst of the trip and was a bit aggravating and somewhat scary at times.

One thing to always remember about the paddle boat and the copperhead, or any water snake as far as that goes is to always check for snakes. There is a flat board that helps tie the paddle boat together with fiberglass underneath the rear where a snake can get up on and shade. This of course was the case and as the kids were paddling along made the snake come out from underneath the boat, chasing us and trying to climb aboard.

Nonetheless, even with the excitement it was still a very fun trip and for sure there were not any dull moments.

Always plan for your adventure and hope you have thought of all the sporting gear you are going to need with you on your trip. As I think about it now I would have been more preparied and could have made the trip a little more enjoyable.

Spring Time Woohoo – Grab Your Fishing Gear

Fishing And Preparation

Here we are already in April and it’s not too late to hit the lakes and rivers. Time to get out that fishing gear and get it in order and make sure new line is added to your reels. Okay, now let’s make it last while we are at it and enjoy it more so grab that camping gear as well and take a few days relaxing and enjoying the trip.

It’s never too late to go fishing and spring is a great time to hit the water as it is warming up and the fish are getting ready to spawn. This is the time of the year where I live in the southern US where the weather is changing and the trees are starting to bloom. As the dogwoods start having blooms then the fish are on the move and will hit about anything you throw at them.

Time To Hit The Water

Regardless the type of fishing you are into this is the time to get your gear and get to the lakes and have a great time. Just think about that large bass parting the water to knock your bait almost out of the water just to get to it, can you picture it? That is a great feeling to have a large fish on the end of your line giving you that fight of your life making you work hard to get it in the boat, or on the bank depending on how you are fishing.

February, March, and April are great times of the year here in the south to pack up and enjoy an outstanding fishing and camping trip, relaxing and getting away for a little while. For sure this is the time that you may hang that big bass, or mop up on those slab crappie, or even load up on the catfish.

What’s Your Fishing Preference

There are several methods in fishing where everyone has their own preferences. For instance, using the bait casting reel, or the spinning reels and both are great and you will have a great time catching fish with either. My question is if you have tried the fly-fishing technique and if so have you ever hung that big fish with one of those? Wow, what a fight you will have on your hands getting a large fish in with your fly-fishing rod and reel.

Nonetheless, everyone needs to escape the everyday battle and rat race of work and get away and enjoy yourself. Be sure to include the family, or a friend and enjoy this adventure together. Besides, if you go by yourself and you catch that big fish and don’t bring it back who is going to believe you caught it?

Conclusion

Spring time brings great fishing experiences for anyone and is a great time to get out and enjoy yourself. This is the time to set aside for getting out and going fishing for bass, crappie, catfish, or about any other type fish in your area. Trees are starting to bloom and fish are starting to spawn.

My suggestion to anyone is that if you love fishing and the great outdoors then spring is the time to have great fun, and it is a great time for camping as well. Just be sure to plan for the trip and make sure the weather is suitable for the trip.

Daily Exercise – Are You Getting Enough?

Home Bound

Today many people are stuck at home for one reason are another, and for the last few months a lot of it is due to the COVID-19 Virus. This virus has caused many business to close, hopefully temporary only. It has also put many out of jobs including the business owners.

None of this is good for anyone but everyone does need to stay physically fit by getting their “Daily Exercise” to help fight off this virus, plus to help keep you healthy. Prior to this deadly virus many people made it a point to go to a gym to work out, or was a member of a fitness facility. Due to this virus all have closed for distancing reasons to reduce the spread of the virus and help get it under control.

This is definitely not a time that anyone is happy with but one thing for sure is that everyone does need to stay in shape and now more than ever. Many are stuck at home by Government orders, or lose of jobs, or many that are still fortunate like myself get to work from home.

Maintain Physical Fitness

Regardless the reason of being at home you still need to maintain a good healthy diet and physical fitness. Maybe you are not completely home bound and are able to walk or run in the outdoors around your home and if so that is great. Could be that you do not have this access and are refined to your home and if that be the case then consider other exercises.

You may consider doing push ups, setups, stretching, or “YES” even dancing. Maybe you have exercise videos that will provide a lot of exercise, especially trying to keep up with them. Could be that you are setup with your own home GYM and have everything you need and if so that is great and you are already a step ahead of many.

I personally have a treadmill that I walk every day to get in a good Cardio workout. I have an AB lounge as well that will provide a good workout especially for your abs, back, and stomach, and it is much easier on my back than doing basic setup. I had other equipment in the past but donated to goodwill due to not using very often. Hopefully someone else benefited from the donated equipment.

If you have the room for any type workout equipment I recommend it for a good cardio workout, and for a full body workout. The ones I have shown are just a few as their are many types of work out equipment that may be better for you. Regardless, it is very important to stay on a good diet and to stay physically fit.
